Our research group, led by Arik Davidyan, Ph.D., aims to improve students' experience within the STEM field and to empower undergraduate student to pursue careers in science and medicine. Specifically, we are working to learn how engagement with science communication impacts students' science identity and efficacy, both strong predictors of persistence in the STEM field and intent to pursue advanced degrees, as well as student learning and overall experience. 

We do so in a friendly and inclusive research environment that focuses on student growth, participation, and ownership in the research projects they participate in and lead.
